The Solution to Climate Change.
A Manifesto.
To address the biggest challenge of several generations, we must look inward and understand ourselves. Become free of what we think we know. Be open-minded when presented with expert information, and humble to accept it. In a world of fake news and subjectivity, this is our only way to be victorious and save ourselves and our dearest Earth from extinction. Governments, corporations individuals, all of us, to be humble; to listen to the experts. Leave our criticisms, past assumptions, and general unwillingness behind.
If you are anything like me, you probably are someone that has a special connection to nature. Maybe you are a witch that manages to keep all your house plants alive and thriving or someone that knows all the homemade remedies and herbal solutions to help your health. I am not that good. But I still deeply care.
I remember reading an article as a young teenager about the Kyoto Protocol (pre-dating the more famous, current Paris Agreement) circa the late 90s, in some newspaper or magazine at home. It was the first time I was exposed to the worries of climate change. It read something along the lines of the failure of signing countries to keep within the limits of CO2 emissions, agreed on this protocol. And I remember thinking: this sounds important, and it doesn’t seem they are taking it seriously.
