Zulie Rane is one of the most beloved writers on Medium. She is well-known for her kindness towards helping new writers and for her beautiful and inspiring beliefs about how everyone that has a writing voice, should use it and make in turn the world better. But not only this, she also has a highly analytical and methodical mind, and all her pieces ooze with value, whichever one you happen to read. This week, she decided to write about the Musk-Twitter take-over, but from a perspective that so far the never ending pieces about the topic have failed to address: what would happen if users rebelled, and what would that look like?

But several users decided instead to misread the purpose of the piece, searching for some always-sweet controversy and headed to the comments’ section armed with the classic spikes and torches of a witch hunt. Zulie’s perspective was very clear:

“If, hypothetically, you wanted to ensure someone like Elon Musk never earned his $44 billion back, here’s how you occupy Twitter.”

Nevertheless, the reply comments include name-calling, finger-pointing, door-slams, and sheer outrage.
