Have you ever heard of Longyearbyen? The northernmost town in the world, located on the Svalvard archipelago, belonging to Norway. So freaking north, the ground there is permanently frozen, even during the summer, which bizarrely makes it impossible to bury the dead, among other wonders.

I remember being forever fascinated and attracted by every northern location on my maps and globes when I was at school. The most remote, frozen places have somehow always instigated in me an exorbitant level of curiosity. What is it with some people and the “north” obsession, which tends to also be a preference for the winter season? It is the cosiest season, no question about it. Or it might be to do with the pink noise phenomenon, the soothing noises of nature.

In any case, I bring you today one of my favourite content creators, the great Cecilia Blomdahl, a posh-looking Swedish girl who defies all stereotypes and conquers like a queen one of the most challenging human living locations on Earth. She always has her beautiful nails done and full of colour and at the same time, she carries a shotgun for polar bear protection and goes on savage hikes on glaciers or on frozen dips in the ocean. Got to love her!
